Family –

My husband, Bruce, and I have two adult children.  Our daughter, Angela, and her family, live in Andover.  Our son, Tim, and his family, live in Franklin Tennessee.

Favorite Verse –

“I thank my God every time I remember you.  In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.”  Philippians 1:3-5

Education –

I graduated from Kansas State University in 1972 with a degree in Elementary Education.  I completed my masters program in gifted education at Wichita State University in December 1980, and I received my reading specialist certification from WSU in 1991.  I completed the colloquy program through Concordia College in Seward, Nebraska in 2003, which allowed me to become a Minister of Religion, Commissioned.  In 2008, I completed the Alphabetic Phonics training program.  I continue to attend workshops and take classes that will improve my skills in working with students.

Awards / Achievements –

I was recognized as the KAIRS Distinguished Lutheran Teacher in 2008.

Professional Goals –

I strive to assist all children in reaching their full potential and to use their God-given gifts to the best of their ability.  I desire to continually grow in my knowledge of current teaching methods and ways to utilize technology to engage children in learning.

Hobbies –

I enjoy spending time with our grandchildren and other family members, traveling, and scrap-booking.
