My husband, Rex, and I have two boys- Dylan and Anthony. Dylan is a sophomore at Trinity High School and Anthony is a seventh grader at Holy Cross Lutheran.
This is going to be an exciting year where students will be expanding their knowledge through classroom activities, special classes, as well as field trips. Together, we will help students grow academically and spiritually.
I look forward to working with you and your child. Please feel free to contact me anytime with any questions or concerns.

My path to Elementary Education has been quite interesting. I graduated from Wichita State University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and again in 2001 with a Masters in Nursing. From there I held several jobs in nursing that primarily included behavioral health, neonatal intensive care, and family medicine. God opened the doors for me to move into education when my older son was diagnosed with Dyslexia among other things. I wanted to be able to adequately help him as well as other students, so over the past 10 years I have completed training in Alphabetic Phonics, Take Flight, Stern Math, Semple Math, Multisensory Reading and Spelling, and other related trainings. Last year I completed an additional bachelors degree from Friends University in Elementary Education, which provided me the opportunity to be able to transition into classroom teaching.
I currently hold a Kansas teaching license as well as maintain my nursing/nurse practitioner licenses. Upon completion of alphabetic phonics classwork, 700+ hours of student instruction, and a certification test, I obtained the certification for academic language therapy several years ago.
I plan to obtain a Masters in Special Education in order to continue working with students who have learning differences. I am very excited to work in the area of guiding 3rd grade students towards increased confidence in their studies as well as a passion to serve the Lord using their given talents and abilities.
I enjoy reading, biking, swimming, and spending time with my family. My family and I also enjoy going to the movies, attending sporting events, traveling, and simply hanging out at home together.
