6th Grade News

Religion: Memory work this week is Matthew 28:6.  There will not be a fill in the blanks this week.  They will need to know the entire verse on their own.

Reading: Hobbit Chapters 15/16  this week.  Most Hobbit  work is done in class. There are still a few students who haven’t completed  2nd Quarter  AR.  Wonders Unit 2 Week 4 continues this week. A new book report has been assigned. Students are to read two mystery books. Book 2 Sheet is due May 6.    The students need to compare the books using  a Venn diagram  as well as a three paragraph comparison/contrast paper due May 8. Some students did not turn in Book Sheet 1; they have not received Book Sheet 2, yet.

English: We will test Unit 3 on Wed.

Spelling: This  week we will work in our Classical Roots Vocabulary books.

Science:  We are continuing through the electricity unit.  Many students failed to turn in an open book quiz that was assigned to them last Friday.  There will be more science homework than usual in the next few weeks, so your child will need to stay on top of due dates and homework.  No test this week.

Social Studies: We will finish up our chapter on Rome next week. We most likely will have the test on the chapter on Thursday
